Massey Combines Corporation Questions

We have 1 1987 "MASSEY" 8590, 1 WFE 9720, 1 WFE 9700, and 2 WHITE 9700. And one thing I know is that when they first came out they were MASSIVE combines, there rotors are 163" long(23" longer than MF9895!!) There cleaning area was also pretty impressive too!! And grain tank at 265bu is a pretty good size too!! Heres the picture of the serial number on our 8590 and the only picture I could find with both the 8590 and 9720 together.

I was told by the local Massey Dealer that the 550 was made until 1985 with limited numbers built in 1988. Does anyone know what the last serial number of the 550 was? I have one with a S/N ending in 6267 which the dealer said was an 1985. According the a Specifications and Data book i have S/N 6662 started in 1988? Can anyone else back this up or have insite?

I wonder how many of the 8590s were exported? There were a handful that came here to the UK - maybe four or five. One or two are still in scrapyards being broken, and there is one farmer in the east who brings his out each year to back up his main combine, although I understand that currently it's laid up and needs some attention. could not believe the capacity
unfortunately it has I believe now gone to that great scrapyard in the sky
it was replaced last year with European built hybrid Massey
