Default Opinions 9560/S670

Have had a good look at both machines,(demoed this year in Australia.)
Very impressed with the 9560. It seems about as simple as you could make a combine. The cab leaves a lot to be desired though. I will be looking at the 9540 as I don't need the hp of the 9560.
I was very "underwhelmed" by the S670. Great cab etc but essentially the same small cleaning area underneath all the reshaped glitz. Only a 300bl grain bin!!!

I have run Deere STS for 10 years now but I am thinking AGCO have come up with a winner if it holds together.
Any comments, views, criticisms of either machine most welcome

I was told by a Massey dealer that there will be a new cab in 2013.. and that the concaves will be beefed up for the production run of 2012 machines.. maybe hold off until the 2013 machines are coming off the line.

Mate the cleaning area is bigger. If you go the massey you must be keeping it for a while as no one will want a second hand MF in Oz. Did you look at the 680?

Massey dealer traded 3 late model JD's for MF red, see they still have a 9770 on the lot 2 harvest on.

I think you need to go back and look again. I would hardly call a 30% bigger top sieve and 18% bigger bottom sieve "essentially the same".

So that translates roughly to they bought the deal with a price he couldn't refuse, needed to get far to much for his trades hence they still have one 2 years latter.

9560 is a larger machine than the S670, 9560 should be a class 8+ machine.

Resale is nothing, its something you would have to live with. When u compare the combimes I am sure the sieves are alot different. If its a money thing, there better be a 50k difference. 680 would be a better choice then the 670, but the sad part the massey will walk away from it in capacity. But the real issue is do you trust the agco dealer to take care of you through the warrenty period. After that time the combines should be trouble free past regular wear and tear. Personally I am a leaning away from deere, but being down under are they going to get u parts, like others have said, dont be the first to buy one, wait for another year or two on both machines. Like true don boles fassion, no one can touch a lexion... Jk don
