You may be already done the job as I haven't been on here for a while. I did mine a couple of years ago. Took the feeder house off, then the front beater housing came off all in 1 piece and the concave was right there. If I remember right just 4 bolts that you adjust it with held it in. The only trick was I think I needed to have the variable speed all the way forward so that you had access to the bolt behind the pulley.

Glad to hear
I have to do my 550 this year, how much was the concave if you don't mind me asking, i have used Fyfe in Saskatoon lots glad not have to drive 1000 miles for parts. I lurk a lot on this site but it doesn't seem like anybody farms with my ancient equipment. i wonder if a thread should be started on who still farms with the oldest equipment, i would be really interested how many farmers are in the same boat as me. |

You guys are not the only ones with old small equipment. I use a 540 and also plan on replacing the concave and cylinder bars this summer. Could 2 people handle the removal and instalation pretty easy? If I ever got hold of a 700 or 800 series machine Id really think I was walkin tall!
