I think Don is right. Unless they have made some serious changes to the front end of the machine, The beater is a critical component in the rock trap and not to mention feeding the rotor. It will be interesting to see.

Case has offered their axial flows without a stone trap for years. No beater, just the back of the feeder chain and the front of the rotor in the transition.
