Hi all. Last year, when I changed the chopper to low speed for sunflowers, I had to drive the pulley on the chopper on further to keep the belt from rubbing on the forward (drive) pulley. This summer, I pulled it back out (with a pulley puller) to have the belt line up for the fast speed. I'm wondering if my final, driven pulley on the chopper is put on backwards to have to do this. The larger pulley is on the outside, smaller diameter pulley is on the inside. I wonder if the pulley was turned around, if things would line up to where I wouldn't need to hammer it in, and pull it out, to have the belt line up for speed changes. A bugger to move, snug fit on shaft.

Looked through my service manuals, and see that the driven pulley on the chopper is on right, larger pulley on outside, end of pulley flush with end of shaft. Surely something is wrong, to need to drive on pulley so belt runs without rubbing across front (drive) pulley. Guess if no suggestions, I'll remove pulley and buff shaft and inside of pulley so it slides easier, if I need to keep repositioning each time I change speed on chopper.
