Default Removing main concave from the rear?

I haven't removed a concave from a hybrid Lexion but I question why the concave can't be removed going out the back. Obviously it would be heavy and require some different practices to go out the back instead of the front, but would it work. 5 hours out the front seems like a fair amount of time. What do you think.

I most likely plan on removing my wire concave for a roundbar to attempt to get a better soybean sample with less splits.

After looking at out 590 this afternoon, we think it is still easier out the front. We put round bar in the 595 about a month ago. 5 hours would be tough to get it done. In the long run, quiet rewarding to know how everything works when you get done. Also will make us much better if a breakdown happens during harvest.

It's very easy to go out the front if you have a fork lift or a skid steer. Going out the back would be a huge pain.

To bad they screwed up design on old dominator. Concave could be out on floor in less than 30 minutes.

Do you mean the three segments of the Maxi version where they bolt in , or can you pull the feeder house in thirty minutes? I have a feederhouse frame but I can't do a concave in less than an hour, could you explain more please.

It would sure be nice if there would be a segmented main concave that one could change out through the access hole in the side, using APS styled grates. Looks like someone should be working on this.

Yeah, but then parts and labor income would be less. The engineeres will tell you that the concaves would last longer and be more stable, but its cheaper that way for them... Sad because they could make the concave sections smaller and have them only be ten inches wide or so,,, five sections total. It would be a really good idea, but I dont believe they wear out that fast do they?

No they do not wear out that quick, but a rock can cause headaches very rapidly.
