Default Lexion 580R Sieve

I'm looking at an '05 580R combine and have a few questions pertaining to the sieves. HRSW & Soybeans are my main crops and some barley, sunflowers & navy beans.

This might be a dumb question but for wheat & soybeans what would be the best sieve setup? I initially thought that the TM6 sieve is what I should have but after doing some research I'm not sure. Is the TM6 sieve more suited for the non-jetstream models (early 570/575)? My concern is that I want a clean sample but I don't want to reduce capacity. I think I read somewhere that maybe a deep tooth 1-5/8" top sieve and a 1-1/8" cleaning sieve would work better. If the TM6 sieve is the correct sieve, would it be only for the top sieve or bottom sieve or for both sieves?

Also, is the TM6 sieve still considered a 3D sieve or do you lose that when you go to the TM6.

Sorry if these questions seem simple - I'm just trying to cover all of my bases if I'm going to make the jump to a Lexion.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You would want to use the tm6 sieve for all of those crops. It will give you great capacity in all of those crops.

I don't know much specifics but what I know, I would recommend the sieve with fingers shorter than the long corn sieve for the upper. 3-d should not be effected in any way, but if you have many hills that are long or steep I would do the tigercat mod. Search here and he has a pic.

The bottom sieve that is factory in my combine, a short finger sieve, should be just fine IMO. Goodluck

I agree, I was running the stock Lexion sieve for the first year and I was never satisfied with the sample, especially in sunflowers. Then I switched to the TM6 and it solved a lot of problems. I'm using it on wheat, sunflowers, corn, and buckwheat.

Anybody have a TM6 that they want to get rid of?
Anybody know what a TM6 would cost for a 740?

Thanks.
