In that comparison I'd give the Lexion 460 the upper edge in overall capacity, moreso in tougher crop. The Lexion's APS up front is going to do more good than NH's rotary separator which is positioned behind the cylinder when there is uneven feeding at the header, weeds, or just tough MOG.

tsaskcan you were running both in same field? i would guess then a cx840 would be a little behind a 860 or 460 or did you mean a 840?

Have no worries about service, I run three 400series and number one they are very reliable machines and like I said service is first class and as far as parts the lexion warehouse is in Regina. As an example I had to replace three walkers in a 460 last season due to a broken lifter, happened at 5pm back to yard called Kramers and had the parts picked up direct from warehouse back in my yard by 11pm and running the next morning. Three seasons ago rotor bearing goes in 470 about 6pm, Kramers in yard by 10pm and machine runing by 2am thats service.
If I were you I would look for a 460R .

460 r u say ? ok but thats a rotary, no? if not my apologies, but iean a 460 walker that is sitting at 310 hp , not turned up , not an r model , just apple to apples please , not trying to pick a fight , i now have a cx , the dealer is ten mins away , cat nearest 2 ,1/2 hours , nh seems heavier built too , imo , no cracks arround the chopper mounting frame , but maybe , if lived closer to cat dealer would have gone the other way ,

Parts, sales, service and mechanics are separate from construction. A 460r has rotors but is not a rotary combine, the 460 is 290hp and good luck with your cx they are also a good combine.
