Default Geringhoff - "Independence Day" Teaser

There's a new video on Geringhoff's Youtube channel teasing something at the National Farm Machinery Show:

Any ideas?

The swaths in the video make it look like they're introducing a non directional corn head. Can cut any direction, same idea as forage choppers.

obviously a non-directional header, you can see the disks under the front part of the gathering chain with spikes on them to gather the corn into the row unit.

Looks different. I remember one of the seed co's trial with solid seeded corn using a wheat drill a few years back but gave up becausecouldn't harvest it. Wonder if this machine would be able to make that work.

Looks like it works good but who's going to buy one? Why not just go with the rows?

Why are all the chopper headers row independant now?Big advantage will be for custom guys with customers on different row spacings, also for guys who have to deal with different sizes of planters(number of rows dont match the header).
There is also pictures in the new profi magazine, looks to me like they are going to actually cut the stem off with those discs before it gets pulled through the deck plates, but i might be wrong there...

I would think it might work better on downed corn cause you could go in any direction, in the same sense the snouts won't help pick it up much.

I would think ears will be flying every where when the corn is dry, but it'll be interesting to see how that works. Would be nice to combine with 12 rows but plant with 16 rows...I can see advantages and disadvantages.

I don't want to see the price tag or how much it weighs though.

Looks like a row independent head. They pulled the curtain off of it today at the National Farm Machinery Show.

Here's the youtube video that they are showing there:
