Macdon Headers / Adapters

I bought a Westward 9300 with a 972 30' Header. I use a 36' 960 header on my 1688 CI combine.

Q1. Will the 972 header fit on the old 960 adapter on the combine? Not sure of the adapter model, it has it's own reservoir.

Q2. Will a D60 30' header fit on the old swather that takes a 972 head?

Thanks for any help. Have been on the Macdon and other sites and still not sure about either of these questions.

No your 972 header will not fit onto your 960 adaptor they are very different.
Not sure about your other question.

I am looking to buy a M150 that has a D60-D header on it and I was wondering if I bought the adapter for my CR970 if I could use the header for both. I would only have to switch once a year but how difficult are the adapters to take off of the header themselves?

Piece of cake!

If the combine adapter has the quick multi hydraulic coupler on, an easy 1/2 hour, even the first time.

Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it'll will always get you the right ones.

Can you run an fd70 on a windrower? If so do the wings have to be locked ridgid?

No.
The mechanism for the floating wings is right where the drive tires run.
