Default Which cart J&M or Brent

I was wanting some advice on carts, I have never owned one so I am new to it. I am looking at a J&M 675, Brent 674, Brent 670 & 770. The J&M looks best shape and the price is close to the same. I'm in idaho and there is almost none out here so any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help.

The unloading auger on the J&M is mounted a little further ahead, easier
on the neck when unloading. Other than that, they are both good.

Both are good. I don't have a cart myself but there are plenty of both kinds of carts around where I am. So I sure either or would be just fine.

I used to work at a dealership that sold both, and I have been around both myself.

We had way more warranty work on the J&M's and cracking on the frames etc. One instance in particular I remember was on a 1325 when the flow gate completely bombarded after only 1 harvest run, it was a mess.

The Brents, IMO, are built way heavier and more sound. I think the J&M is a cheaper more economic line of carts, but the Brents are the Cadillac so to speak.

Have had a J&M 750 since 1996. It's bean great...no complaints I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Over 2.5M bu through ours.

Repairs we've had to make
- Put a extra piece on the bottom of the bottom auger because it was getting thin last year.
- Beef up the auger hinge a few years back...started cracking from folding while bouncing down the field
- Replaced the bushing on the top of the bottom auger 3 years ago.
- Repainted the graphite inside.

We change the gearbox oil every year and keep it will greased. There a great cart.

we've had the same 525 J&M cart since 1994, had to put a new lower auger in the bottom tube once and both axles broke two years ago. Other than that it has been a fantastic cart. I would recommend a J&M cart to anyone, We purchased a Parker 839 three years ago and I'm just not sold on it, its way too tall but does unload way faster compaired to the older J&M (the auger on the parker is huge in comparison) I also do not like the side auger style carts versus the front fold.. but that's just my opinion

like everyone else has said they're both good carts. If you want a brent get at least an 80 series.

I have a 770, I would probably go with the j&m. The auger folding is better then they older brents.
