Default Ficklin Grain Carts

Tell me about Ficklin grain carts. Are they very durable? Are they still made? If not, who makes parts for them? I have a chance to buy a nice one fairly cheap. All input is greatly appreciated.

I never heard of them, but I looked it up and it seems like there is a lot of them around. They look like the average "Anybody Can Build" grain cart so I would bet you that parts would be easy to get ahold of. They look like solid grain carts, Shouldn't be too much to go wrong.

I have a Ficklin CA9600. Had it 4 years, so far been bulletproof. Cleans out better than some, not as well as others. Love the corner auger-would never go back to side.

Gearbox going out is my biggest fear-so I baby it. I have heard you can get replacements from company that bought them out....can't remember who that was.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone else know who bought Ficklin out?

Looks like Ficklin was bought out by Top Air Mfg. They were in turn bought about by Unverferth. If you need parts try contacting Unverferth, they may be able to help you out.
