When you scoop up a rock you spin it and at the same time drive forward beyond the little pile of dirt and then lower it till the back of the robo just touches the ground and pull the dirt back into the hole while reversing.
I use it on a Kubota R510 payloader.
Have you tried to spin it a little longer with some more rocks in the barrel to get rid of the mud balls?
Are you otherwise happy with the Rock Picker?Any problems?

Neat unit. Wonder how it'll handle half buried 2 footers. Most of our problems are that size. Lucky if the drill pops them out and we see them to pick. Unless we can see them to mark and come with a loader or cat. This outfit would be great for worked breaking. How's it for getting sticks and roots?

nameless likes this.

If your boulders are dug out ahead of time and reburied like the one in the video at approx 33 seconds, shouldn't be no problem at all
I'll stick with my Degelman

Just picked one up last fall at Red Deer farm show. Used it for 3-4 days this spring and just love it. Going to put it on the front end loader of the tractor cause with the skid steer you sit to low and its hard to spot all the rocks. Hoping sitting higher in the tractor we wont miss as many. As far as picking and cleaning the rocks, its fast and efficient.
