I have a problem with my Maxxum. I am getting a pretty severe noise, kind of a rattle or vibration, when decelerating the tractor. Doesn't matter if I am pulling back on the throttle or down shifting. Thought it was in the front wheel drive shaft, but I took the shaft off and still heard the noise. Sounds like it is coming from underneath the seat, but only during deceleration. Anybody else experience this problem.
How many hours? I have had a similar type of noise from a MXU 115, ended up being the crown wheel and pinion tooth contact, the tooth contact wasn't right went through the hardening, could be worth hooking PTO out of the back and having a look at the tooth contact.
Going to tear it apart this week. Mechanic also thinks it is the pinion. What did it take to fix it? Thanks.
