American or Canadian Thanksgiving?

I have to say, this new model number system sure simplifies everything - I think this might be the first move made, soon to be followed by others.

It's a good number system I guess because one can easily tell the hp. I still prefer the old way though, really easy to know the era of the tractor. What are they going to do for a number on the next series though? 9560R turns into what, another letter?

Default 7R and 9R infos

I'm not really Deere fan by heart, more Massey and Valtra(after saying that I just remembered my family currently has a 9600 JD combine and a 16 row 7000 series palnter), but I would have to say Deere's new numbering system does make sense when compared to some other brand's numbering systems.

I'm betting we'll see more stuff like years associated, and the horsepowers will change, so they'll use that - maybe bump it up 5 HP or something.

I guess there's just row crop, standard and track versions, so R and T will stay to distinguish them. Although, it should be obvious that a track machine has tracks I guess it helps for pictureless ads and keeping track of inventories and such.

Drawing board.
From this info, looks like they won't step into the arena with CNH.
From this info, that is.

Will be interesting how PST w/efficiency manager works, read, will it be smooth yet crisp enough, or stepping stone to IVT?
Think CNH has something like this too on the new series.

How much do you have to pay an "Efficiency Manager"? What are his credentials?

Well, at least we won't have to hear Deere has the "Smaller Engine" rant, and, "600 hp is too much for that small an engine"! Some people have the nerve to talk this antiquated philosophy! Hmmm
