looking for some help. our 4430 has a clutch problem, when you let the pedal up to engage the trany , the pedal comes almost all the way up then bang your moving, theres no nice smooth engagement , I have tried every thing I can think of, one thing I found if you stop the pedal just befor it jumps and just hold it there it will soon engage on its own and its smooth
Did it happen all of a sudden? Have you removed the clutch valve and checked for a broken spring ? Also you need to checked engagement pressure on the clutch pressure port on the clutch valve. The pressure should be around 165 to 170 I belive it should come up smooth as the clutch is released. I have seen the traction part of the clutch operating assemblly inside the clutch housing break and cause a problem like this.
