I have a Tier 4 Steiger 550 that the dealer came out and had to reset the controllers on this spring. He said I now have 3 chances to start the tractor and let it do a emissions control test and it has to pass this or else they will have to come back and reset it again. There is nothing in the manual about this and let it do its thing today, took at least 30 mins and then it says SCR Failure Stop Tractor. So i guess it didn't pass. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it pass. He told me that we would have to idle up and run airseeder fans to do it. Not sure if I ran the engine hard enough or what. Seems dumb to have to run a tractor for half hour to test the emissions cause that isn't causing more.
I have the same
Tractor, and what I have
Seen this year is a real shame to say the least, filling def every second day and then the poor fuel economy, my older 9380 would of done the same acres
In half the fuel and no def crap and issues to deal eith
When my Deere 9460R goes into a regeneration cycle (little symbol lights up on the corner post, and motor idles up to 1200r's), the dealer tech told me NOT to shut if off until it finishes the regen cycle. Might take 10 min or 25 min, but whatever, let it finish it. He said if you shut down during the regeneration cycle, the next cycle will take longer to complete.
So, If you are wanting to quit for the day, and that dam light comes on, you just as well tune in a good radio station and ride it out a while longer.
from what I understand its the engine not being able to build temp just idling, have had trouble around here with the big dairys running the manure injectors, tractor just idles along and will trip scr codes.try running the hydraulics, etc to make the engine work
This why EVERYONE needs to contact their representatives and senators and DEMAND an end put to this foolishness!
