Hi,
our dealer told me that Case would have a new Magnum tractors series with tracks.
They are to put Quadtrac tracks on Magnum instead of rear tires. They are about introduce it next year.
Have you heard about this yet?
Thank.
I was told the same thing by a dealer, supposedly they were told by Case that tracked Magnums were coming at one of the national meetings. The same meeting that they were told about the Row-Trac so must be something to it.
Very interesting and useful idea. But I´m afraid of their reliability.
Our neighbour had been using JD8530 with Soucy Track for two year. They had too many troubles with axles, differential, tracks and hydraulic oil.
The Case rep at the Red Deer farm show said the same thing last year. There will be a Magnum with tracks, he was saying 4 tracks. He also said there will be a CVT in the Big Magnums, and the Stiegers as well.
Yes CVT transmission will be in the Magnum 370CVX. Case has introduced it yet but I doubt that they will have CVT in Quadtrac. Althought I would appreciate it because powershift in Quadtrac is something terrible and uncomfortable
Whenever I have seen a working tractor equipped with Soucy tracks front and rear, the turning process of angling flat tracks via conventional steering looks - and sounds - very awkward. Do you think that articulated steering would be the only way to go on such a machine?
