Title should say it all for those that have gone from a 6550 to a 7700 or even a bourgault 550 to 700 . How well does that larger tank follow the drill into fields and around corners in transport. question could be expanded to the larger tanks even but my interest is at the tanks that just hold 550 or 700.
We went from a 6450 to a 7700. The 7700 trails extremely well, much better than I expected. Its hard to truly compare to the old one though because they are on two totally different drills. I think if the drill was high float the whole unit would follow even better. With my 76' paralink, if I can get the drill around the corner the cart certainly will make it too. So far anyways.
going from 50 to 60 ft will have high floatation and have choice of 7550 and 7700 and its only a mere 50 k diff for 150 bushels ( I just threw up a little in my mouth\0
We switched from a 6550 to a 7700 last year and I think the bigger tank corners better. I was amazed how well it follows around narrow roads and approaches.
