Salford 2100

Looking at a Salford 2100, wanting to use it for residue management and possibly adding a Valmar. Is there any reason it wouldn't work for applying edge? Has anyone used this set up for seeding flax, cover crops or forages? Probably going to pull it with 75e challenger so thinking 30' is all it will handle. Anybody have any experience with this setup?

I seeded some yellow mustard into some greasy mud with mine last year and every seed germinated and field finish was nice. I have some land that might be to wet to get drill on to seed canola and if it is the 2100 will be used. Fertilizer was spread in December. It does chop up residue but nothing like a high speed will blacken the soil more if you have the optional hydrulic shanks but I see no need to use them unless your working trails or ruts.

Have seen pics of farmers in the US using the 2100 + valmar for cover crop seeding.

We bought a 4100 for this spring to help get the rutted fields ready for seeding. Normally, we put NH3 down in the fall with a chisel plow, but didn't get anything done last fall. Going to use the 4100 to put down NH3 and pull our granular cart to put down our sulphur as well. (Also gives us the option to go to urea if NH3 logistics become an issue.) Then just seed+phos when seeding.

Have thought of granular herbicides during this pass as well, but due to the lack of fall work increasing the spring work, we aren't doing any this spring to keep it simple.
