I am installing remote gate openers on the bottom of new dopeker tridem for seeding, also looking at remote swing auger mover systems, possibly from same vendor or combinations.
Have google searched and seen some older threads on this topic. Would like other possible vendors and comments on these products. Also comments on what remote camera systems farmers have used for positioning of trailers for unloading and loading when using multiple trucks at harvest and hauling. thanks in advance for you input. |

I had brehon remote openers on a Doepker tridem and they worked great when they worked. Unfortunately there always seemed to be some issues with water getting in them and causing trouble.
Cab cam monitors work well for what I have needed. There are wide and narrow angle cameras. Have no idea on the Brehon swing auger mover. Have used the Ag Remote one and it worked well. Deep ruts from the truck are a problem with all movers. |

Brehon are $hit... "water" issues frying the circut board.... Had shipped about 4 back and forth and they were never right. Were good enough to give half my money back. Went and bought Shur-co's and never been happier. Very good company to work with. Simple, and easy to install, and best designed remote.

I would suggest looking at a set of Michels augers over the wireless trap openers. If you order quick they may let you in on the cheap early order program. Much easier to install and they work well. If you don't want a wet kit on your truck you can run them from hydualics on your air drill or even you swing auger tractor at harvest. A simple over center flat face coupler like a combine header hookup uses, will have you hooked up in 30 seconds.

Did the Michels thing back with my old cart, now have delux 10" bourgault auger on cart so no need for michels.
They worked great for trailers filling cart with augers that cannot reach under trailers. Will use this solution for filling bins at harvest and filling air cart at seeding. |

The Shurco Protraps are awesome, we have them on a super B for the last 3 years. No issues, they are extremely strong, almost too strong like they could do damage to the trailer. We have Brehon on our end dump trailers and have had very good luck with them as well, no complaints either.

I bought two hopper walkers last harvest and the truck drivers raved about them. 100% reliable, 2 remotes per auger, limit swithes for auto swing, remote control light and they power through ruts left by the truck. They were also about the same price as the others. call this guy 306-222-6035

Check out the video! The remote is very nice, it has 2 way comminication so you know it is linked up with the auger.
