Default saskatchewan farming pics2011

low level crossing was a bit deper than anticipated



wouldn't quite reach to get on top to hook the lift cables

had to get two of these instead




good view from up here

pouring cement for the shop addition

pulled her out with a tractor and tow rope, don't worry PETA she is none the worse for wear

new M150,D60-S, freeform roller &JD ATU



on to some harvest pics , no particular order, 1600 wheat, 450 canary, 1100 canola, 1200 red lentils






only soft spot and it was a gooder, dumped the hopper and luckily we could still get the header off

grazing corn

harrowing & avadexing

hailing a bit of canola

cleaning out some culverts

even had time too get in a couple good goose hunts and hopefully a few more too come

Avadex is a granular herbicide for wild oats, we apply it with a valmar mounted to our heavy harrow.Applied in the fall or spring and is activated when the soil warms up.

That white Pete looks sharp. Like the auger behind the trailer, good idea, saves a 1/2ton following you around when cleaning bins out.

hauling the auger behind the truck works good , going to make some hangers for the bin sweep and gas can on the auger so one guy can go haul grain.Don't need a 1/2 ton or a tractor and vac, maybe not as fast but alot simpler.

They we're some good size geese only one lesser out of 29 shot.A whole bunch more showed up on sunday after the snow, they should be nice and fat now
