Default river screen

I've been having problems with my suction screen plugging with silt and moss. I was considering switching over to a riverscreen inlet. Was wondering if anyone was running these and how well they work?

We use a river screen works great just a screen on the end of a rubber hose has never plugged. keeps all the sticks out.

I don't think were talking about the same thing. this unit floats on the water and is made of stainless and aluminum, with a rotating screen. Sticks aren't any problem with my situation. Musk rats keep plugging my inlet with silt. We trapped 15 rats in one day. Ordered a riverscreen last week should be here tomorrow. Sure hope it works as advertised. Kelly

Would love to see what you're talking about; I'm completely in the dark.

if you go to riverscreen.com you can see what there about until I get some pics of mine. I called them and they sent me a good dvd of there product. I've talked to a couple guys that said that it was the next best thing they did after they bought there pivots.

Test ran the pump last night. I picked up 10 psi at the pump? Must be a lot less friction through the screen than my previous screen. everything works as advertised so far. There nozzles across the top bar (you can see them in the reflection better) they spray on the squirrel cage to make it rotate. There are nozzles inside the screen spraying out to clean it. I'v got to do something with the hoses yet I don't like the way I've wrapped them around the pipe. Kellly

I have ran my riverscreen and have to say that this is the best investment that i have made since the pivot. has never plugged or had any problems. My pivot has ran with 60 psi since the day I installed it. sure wish that I had found this when I bought the pivot. Kelly
