Re: WHAT IS THE SMALLEST COMBINE HARVESTER???

Umm, The smallest I can think of would be a Pair of scissors and a Bucket, Sure you wont get the same acres an hour as an STS, but you know your samples gonna be good lmao.

Umm, Try the old deeres, the smallest new deeres I know of are somthing like 275hp (dont quote me, that could be Kw and its 10 to nine in the morning)

Re: WHAT IS THE SMALLEST COMBINE HARVESTER???

lol, smartass

How many acres are you wanting to harvest, Zak? That would help us come up with some ideas. Also, if you want to get really small you'll be looking at an antique, which might be hard to find parts for. Small Deeres are models like the 55, 95, 3300, 4400, etc. I don't know anything about New Hollands.

Re: WHAT IS THE SMALLEST COMBINE HARVESTER???

There's a LOT of old, small combines around. The question is, do you really want to run something that in-efficient?

If I were you, I'd look out for an MF 550, 750, 760, 850, or 860 (smallest to largest). On the JD side, the 6620 is a small combine, but is a darn good machine. The same goes for 7720 and 8820, though they are a bit bigger.

On the CIH side, the 1400 series (1460, 1466, and I believe 1488) is the oldest you want to go, as the older ones are gas-engined mostly, and conventional (1400 series was the first axial flow).

PS: where are you from, zak123?

Or Early TRs would work as well on the NH side. All depends on how small you think that small is.

Amax posted this on the same topic thread, which had to be removed, because it violated the no cross-posting policy.

"Hi

I have seen 4420's that were very reliable machines.
They are just really small.

pick yourself up a JD 9400 or 9410 maximizer...their relatively cheap and still modern enough to have all deere make factory replacement parts.

TX68, that one looks very similar to in size and configuration, to one made by Kubota, also.
I have some nice vids of the running Kubota combine, on my You Tube gallery.
