New shop must haves

I know theres a million threads on this, but Im starting a fresh one. Finally building a new shop at the farm in the next couple months. 48 x 72 x 20

Its going to have a 12x10 office & 8x10 bathroom/mechanical/aircompressor room. so the one corner of shop will be partitioned off 20x10 above that will be storage.

getting quotes on forced air heat vs infloor heat. sounds like infloor will come in at least double.

1 end overhead door 36'

1 side door 12'

what else Do I need to think of?

A 30' header will be tight on a 36' door I would go to a 40' door if you can

I have a 40' header & 30' header.. prob be 2 40' soon.. Im too poor to make the shop much bigger, so either the combines get backed in or headers come off.

I plan on a full size fridge right by the office.

Run your air lines in the wall when you pull the wires through. Nice to have them hidden. Looks clean and tidy even when the shop isn't.

A beer fridge sounds like a bad plan near the office you better put it a long way away from the check book

Windows are nice. I wish we had put more in ours, just have one on the east wall, thinking it wasn't really needed. Wish now we had put some in the overhead door. Kinda feels like a coffin in there.
