So...how about that US election?

Doors locked at 7, should have results 10ish... maybe.

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a politician in the state right now, every radio commercial is political as well.

Polling has Trump with a slight lead over Cruz, Clinton with a very slim margin over Crazy Bernie.

Radio reports that locations are having record new registrations, which should favor Trump and Bernie, time will tell.

Iowa is more noted for burying people and not making people, gets interesting.

Wall to wall media coverage in Iowa tonight, tomorrow night it will be back to Iowhere?...

To be continued.

No idea, no bet, but should be fun!

Do the news polls tend to close or terrible predictors in Iowa?

Don't tell anyone but I'm actually watching CNN!

What's the deal here folks, one person, one vote?
So if you get more total votes collectively one party could get more votes than the other?
Is that any useful info?

I've never followed this before, just a dummy!

Who has the best coverage?

While I would always pay attention to the main events with US politics, much different leader selection than we have here in Canada, and this time around with the added interest that Trump has created, now even these preliminary events are very much catching my interest.
Never did really pay that much attention before, and quite frankly, honestly didn't really care about the selection process, more concentrated on the final two. With that said did some checking into what was such importance of such as this tonight in Iowa.

Found this, I'm guessing its a fairly accurate description?

Should be interesting

Cruz and Clinton to early leads with only 7% reporting so far.

Fairly accurate article AB.

Its a bit of a goofy process, and it pumps millions into our economy every 4 years.

Republicans can nominate a person and give a brief 3-5 minute talk on why they like said candidate. Not every candidate will get nominated. Votes are done by secret ballot.

Democrats break into little groups and physically stand and show support for their candidate. They attempt to convince undecided voters or unviable candidates supporters to come to their group.

When you hear an Iowan talk about meeting candidates, the are talking in person and face to face. The old joke here goes is a reporter asked a little old lady what she thought of a certain candidate, she said "I don't know, I've only met him 3 times!"

Omally dropped out of the democrat race. Huckabee will drop for the republicans tomorrow, should see a couple more casualties in the next 48 hours.

Rubio finished a strong third, which is a bit of a surprise.

Crazy Bernie still has a real shot in Iowa, only 14 vote split.

I think it will be good to kick him off to the side right away and give Hilary plenty of time to make an ass out of herself
