New JD Prototype ?

There are rumors of a new JD prototype combine.

Not the big monster from the past.

Any news, I have not been on here for a while?

I was actually told today that there are 4 different prototypes out doing testing. I would expect JD to have a more competitive combine in a couple of years. It is unfortunate that it will likely be priced out of sight for the average farmer.

Because Deere just can't seem to sell any combines!

We still have a Deere since we have a great dealer and sals guy and all the gps can just be moved over from the tractor so easily along with documentation etc.... but there are those days now when I'm getting close to getting a lexion to demo.... We used to have a CTS2 10 years ago and it could rip (for the size and not in canola). JD needs to step it up!

With a bridge box the gps can be moved over to a lexion and do everything.

I suppose there will be an upgrade, as Deere is using the same threshing size and concaves for the 9650 all the way to the S690.

The only change in threshing I have found is a spring loaded concave to let the wads through.
The other change is more HP, with the newer dead engines.

A marketing slogan we are unlikely to hear!
What do you actually mean since I'm ruling out "dead" engines?

I think he's referring to the horsepower drain associated with the greenhouse gas emissions nonsense...
