its very very hard to import equipment into australia we looked into sending some 480 into australia, but it was next to impossible i was told (my brother in law works for rb auctioneers they had the transport company that wanted to do it) but risk of equipment being returned to canada.

I expect cleanliness is the issue ,there must be contractors prepared to do that. A dead grasshopper or someone's sunflower seed hull is enough to get new quarantined so used shouldn't be any stricter than that just more labour intensive to meet standards. Dust on the goods shipping isn't even tolerated ,it is nothing to down play.

I have had multiple occasions to have contant with the folks at Machinery Export Services and have to say they are the best I have come across.
They specialize in importing into Australia and have the best working knowledge of AQIS that can be found in the industry. They have offices in USA and Australia and are actively growing their business. their web site leaves a bit to be desired, but their customer service is second to none. Shoot them an inquiry and I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Machinery Export Services - Home |
