Default How important is SideHill technology?

Ok im trying to buy my first combine, Ive been in the Silage business for many years, but ive got the op to expand to exceed my silage market. MY farmland is rolling hills and i was watching some videos on the SH bines and thinking this is what i need. I wont need anything large, so ive been looking at a 6620 TII sidehill. Do i really need that SH? BC they are a BEAR to find. I know for sure the 9000 series bines are too big for what i need.

Any input men?

Thanks

If you have many hills at all the sidehill is a huge plus. Dad ran a 6600 sidehill for yrs and then "upgraded to a 7720 LL. If u got on any hill at all, the material went to the bottom side of the chaffer and just chugged grain out. Driving slow helped but did not solve the problem. Last year bought a 6620 sh t2 and love it.

If you can get a gleaner. They handle the hills very well. Very few hillside kits are ever installed on them.

Im just thinking that if you have the SH technology then you could always have an ace in the hole.

wafarmer's point is you don't need it on a gleaner.

That system is in all the Gleaner Rotaries. You can get one with a few year left for around $10K
