That's really neat stuff there. My grandfather still cut wheat with an open JD 55 until around 1996. Did they normally have to drive THAT slow??? It looks like they are creeping along at less than 2 mph. I couldn't imagine it. LOL

I don't think those machines will do more than 4 mph. It was overcast that day and it prolly was a little tough and the fact it was a demo I think they were going slow for that reason too. I think they only had about 10 acres to do, there was a fair number of tractors and equipment plu 50 acres to plow up

I was hoping the one with yellow cab would be a 105 ,every year we were allowed from school to go to the JD show at the theatre in town ,I clearly remember seeing the intro of 820 tractors and the square back combines especially the 105 with 2 pickups on a 22 ft table .I remember the intro of 8010 and 8020 all good stuff. Thanks for the review.

Was that the famous 8010 in the bacground at 3:25,a combine behind makes it hard to tell, could possibly be the Wagoner version of John Deere.

You have a sharp eye that was a 8010 or 8020 with an 8 furrow plow mounted an it

The same club along with John Deere and 2 other clubs are organizing a huge show at the Grimsby Ontario ,John Deere Parts Distrubition Headquarters this summer to celebrate JDs 175th http://www.deerethrutheyears.ca/

Great Video! I've got a 45 that I play with every now and then. Planning on getting it out this year and go over a few corn acres just for fun. I wish this show were closer to me.

Memories... I learned how to combine on a JD 55 corn special gasser. 13' grain head and a 2 row corn head. Good little machine though. When we went to a 4400 diesel- A/C, heat, stereo, 4 row corn head- I thought I had the world by the tail! I still miss that old 55 though.
