One of the reasons the 903 is kind of rare is a company called Hurricane Compressors. http://www.atlascopco.com/microsites...261-624216.pdf. And a few others are converting them to five stage (2000psi x 600cfm) PTO driven compressors. I installed fifty myself, I think the serial number on the last one was around 1350 so there have been at least two thousand scooped up for this purpose alone. In the mid 2000s I was told they were buying mainly used 903s from the army for conversion.

They are used in the Bradley fighting vehicle set at 600hp. There should be a steady supply of them in various conditions through military surplus and auctions until they retire it.
