I had one turned up to 350hp in a Ford fw60. Bought it with 2200 hrs. sold it at 6000. never touched the engine other than cummins tuneups,good on fuel .4 gallons/acre pulling 45' flex 5000 with shovels. would have been perfect with powershift trans. not alot off torque compared to 855. the guy i sold it to put bearings in it but said the old ones weren't that bad. it even sounded mean.

Had a 4840 MF with a 903 bought it at 7500hrs traded it at 10000hrs, uncle bought it then and used it for 3 or 4 years before stoping farming so up around 12000hrs. Never let use down did get a tune up and injectors while we had it.

Is that the only difference between a 935 and a 835, having the 903 vs. the 855? I don't think I really ever noticed that before...

976 had the 855 right? Must have just been turned up to have more HP? Or I guess they started using electroic injection in the designation 6? In the 5 series the hp was 230-310 out of the 855? Then in the desigation 6 they were getting 350 or so out or the 855 and using the L10 for the under 300hp tractors?
