I see new style chopper bearings are going in on brand new combines. As more bearings become available I believe they are going on 30's as well.
Let's hope they hold.
I suspect there will be a change on them too. All I know is that as dealers do them and work orders are closed, CNH is shipping them as fast as they can. A visit with your dealer may be in order
How do these new bearings differ? Is it just the bearings and blocks or did they modify other parts as well, like the bracket that holds the bearings that was cracking for some people?
When my bearings went on my 8120 for the third time on my chopper I went to my local bearing shop and got fafnir collar lock bearings they are 600 hrs still going. case just sells crap bearings and that 3 screw tin sleeve lock collar is a joke
Good call, Millie. That's what we'll do if we have another set of bearings go out.
