Now we all agree that the Case "rethrasher" on the flagship machines must be a work of art.
You can look at it all day - even admire it if you like - but for the life of us ........ you can't work out what you can do with it!
So after two cereal seasons & one short rice harvest, about 17,000 tonne in total, I found some holes in the back panel of the rethrasher body.
A closer inspection reveals the source of the holes is the result poor manufacturing & poor quality control. The locating lugs & locating slots in each piece of the contraption, has not been welded fully ..... to fill in the holes! And surprise, surprise ..... this is where the wear starts & a lot bigger hole develops. No one would be shocked or amazed by that revelation!
As this machine has 2 years of warranty, I kindly asked the dealer to fix it. It's not my problem that the OEM has made a mistake in manufacturing & as such, must rectify their fault.
So the dealer has pulled it off, welded up the holes & refitted. Now the discussion is: who is going to pay for the repairs.
Dealership says: "it's normal wear" My response to that statement is as you would expect.
So please Case, could you rectify this problem at the source.
