Default 2166 unload auger quits???

I have replaced the dipping relay but have not solved my problem.

My unload auger quits several times/dump. It is heat related. I can reduce the problem by running the cab cooler, and leaving the cover off the electrical compartment beside the seat.

I have checked my grounds in that area and all are clean and tight.

The monitor on the A-post thinks its running when it has quit.

I click the button to turn it off, then hit it again and it starts, runs a few seconds, the shuts off again.

Any ideas???

Have you checked your standby pressures??? They must maintain a differential or you will have problems, usually the auger don't shut off. There is a chart a mechanic can maybe get you, I would help need e-mail or something.

Weak circuit breaker maybe? Bad spot in a wire, that causes it to draw more power then it should?

Subscribed. We kinda have same problem with our 2188. Push button sometimes arger comes on, other times it dont, but it will light up dash light everytime, and always shuts off. I have tried switching relays around and doesnt change anything. I was thinking it was maybe the soleniod that controls the hydraulic cylinder?

We had a 98 2388 that would do that, replaced literally everything and nothing ever did fix it. Subscribed to see the outcome

It may not even be related to your problem, but I would look. When auger is in parked position it pushes a switch to cut off the auger, it may be faulty or bad connection. I think the power routes through that switch?
