I think it should be on the middle setting or top . I dont farm Corn but I read in the 2188 manual it has to be on top setting for corn. I moved mine from the bottom setting due to excesiive wear on the floor and chain

You're so right 7010 on the no mention in the operators manual about even the ability to raise or lower the feederhouse floor. I'm hearing some 8230's are being shipped with floor in raised position. Will be headed to Grand Island in few weeks and hope to see assembly of new feederhouse and get some info on the settings for the floor.

We had to raise the feeder house floor on our 09 8120s. But we farm only small grain. I got told that the combines come from the factory in the lower position which is the corn setting. I don't think it made a big difference after the adjustment as the one combine still has trouble with the chain jumping over the sprocket one notch. You should be ok with your setting.
