I run an 844 that we cut down to narrow rows, runs the 4 row like a scared rabbit, you won't want 6 rows unless you like going slow and also you'd better hope you have the reinforced front axles. 6 is a bit too much in my opinion. With the 4 narrow, have to run with the ladder up to keep from knocking over the 5th row, but that's not an issue. It runs strong, but it has the aftermarket turbo on it that few of the '20's have. The hopper capacity is too low for six rows as well. We run a 15' platform, but I think 17.5 would be fine in dry bean stems. 15 is plenty good for a couple hundred acres (or half that in rotation). Paid $4500 for it three years ago with no heads, but we had the heads off the 715. You can find them in good shape with at least a corn head for that, but I wouldn't hesitate to give $5,000 or so for one in good shape.
