Default Converting corn head?

Has anyone, converted there TR fitted 6 or 8 row corn heads to fit the newer CR feeder house? My dealer says, its as simple as moving the post out. Physically it would look that way, but I wonder is this harder on PTO joints, as well as any other problems you guys may have experienced?

we have gone from a CR head to the TR combine,, it didn't seem to take much other then undoing the single point hook up.. I don't see you running into alot of trouble other then the hydraulic connections. Maybe the drive shaft stubs?
I think we still have the single point in the the shed,, don't have the combine anymore,, lol

We currently have a 93c 30' with an air reel on our TR 89, which is converted back to fit the smaller TR feeder house, so that is simple enough to switch back, but as we would like to hold off on a new corn head just yet, we will have to make the older corn head make due for the time being. It just looks like the drive shafts will be on a sharp angle, which I imagine could do a number on universals.

What model of head do you have?

We converted a 96C from TR to CR, required removing the filler plates in the feeder opening, and adding the single point hookup to handle the deck plate hydraulics. Cost about a $750, IIRC. Kinda regret adding the SP hookup, now we are very seriously considering trading for a Drago, and doubt I'll get my money back. Could of probably hard plumbed hoses for the one year, it's a 6 row so we don't remove it often.
