Default Looking for an L3

Hope this isn't the wrong place to post this. If so, I apologize.

Looking to buy a good, staright Gleaner L3 (ideally green stripe) but consider 1984. Hydro, with complete monitor package (acre estimator, reel speed control etc) /deluxe seat/straight cut header. Prefer one that has done grain only. Hour range-1600-2000 separator hours. Last combine I buy. Thanks

Good choice.. If you can find one in that hour range and it has been well maintained it will last for many years if you look after it. We have run one for many years and it serves us well. Keep in mind that one of the most important parts of the machine are the cylinder rasp bars. Worn bars and its a dog, good bars and it hums right along... Sorry, mine is not for sale...

Pegleg Pete.. Glad to hear you like your enclosed cylinder from Precision. I have the first one Mike built in one of my L-2's and love it

Gleanerman, are you done harvest yet? I would really like to come and see that Super L2 of yours. I am fairly local to you.

Daled, where are you located?

Pardon the interuption....I've heard of enclosed cyl's in L's & M's so would that translate to an F2? Does the open concave have something to do with the performance or would a guy get similar results with the smaller mchines. Can't complain about how mine works but a guy is always looking for improved performance.

not sure on open concave ,think the enclosed cyl in a f2 would have the same advantage as the bigger combines
