Alternate platform heads

Didn't know whether to stick this in headed section or not. Having a hard time finding a replacement 9120 or 9122 for my 850. I've seen JD 920/925s mounted. What about case 1020's? Don't seem to be much info out there.

I'm impressed by how my JD 925 works on my 860. I can't say I've heard much about Case heads on Masseys.
I should also say that I haven't seen a Massey 9120/9122 work either. The Deere 925 was what I was able to find to fit my Massey.

We have owned a few 1020's they seemed to be good simple heads. We didn't have a lot of problems with them. However we only ran them on Case combines. Not sure how running on a different type of machine would effect performance. Soybeans mostly a little wheat and oats.

Yeah I figured a 925 would be a tad bit for 850. Have looked at 920s. Have any problems mounting them? The only thing my 9116 is gonna run is into a telephone pole intentionally.

I found an old Bish adapter made to mount Deere heads on Masseys. Without that it would have been difficult.

Newer 925f's will work good, make sure you find one with an air bar (or reel) and full width auger fingers. You'll like air in short beans, but also talls it helps.

If you drive fast in beans consider a 930f if the combine can handle it, not familiar with your brand.
