9790 9795

I have been looking at combines to purchase and I've been looking at a clean 2009 9790 with 1100 sep hours and a clean 2010 9795 with 1400 hours. Besides the unloading auger and body style are there any other major differences between them. Such as front beater? Rotor concave setup? I am replacing a 8780xp. Obviously the new body style and auger would nice but is it worth extra $$. Would plan on using either for a long time. Only harvest corn and soybeans.

Little nicer cab on the 9795. Some 9795's had the heavy rear axle found on the 9895. Does the 9795 have a power fold bin? Power fold holds more then the standard hopper. A 9790 shouldn't be a 2009, last ones came out in 08. 9795 do have some heavier drives and bigger bearings over a 9790 or even early 9895's. Bigger clean grain as well. Better lighting. More hp.

I ended up buying a 2010 9795 in Ohio at Richie Bros auction. Schmitt Machine company sale. There were 6 Massey's there. 9560 and 9540 went 120k. 9795 67k, 9895 51k, 2 9790s 45k and 41k. The 2 newer Massey's seemed to be the deal. There were also gleaners on the sale but I didn't pay attention to the prices.

9560- 2013 1250/840 hours, rwa, duals
9540- 2014 1050/650 hours, rwa, big singles, American flag paint job
Both were clean machines. That 7 cyl engine sounds very smooth and quiet.

That 9795 is a sharp machine. I looked over it quite a bit. We got the 9560. Was going to try for the 9795 if we didn’t get the one we did. That power fold bin extension is AWESOME!!!

Thank you for buying the 9560! With these crop prices I needed a newer cheap priced combine! If I remember right the internet bidder had first choice and took the 40 right?

Yes. Internet guy got the 9540. I would suggest looking into aftermarket conclaves for the 9795. Especially if you run any corn over 22% or run when the fodder is wet. The recessed wires will plug full of husks and silks. I don’t know which ones are the best but the KX7 look very tempting with the easy change segments. I really wanted to try something different but the 9895 has different concaves that the 9795 and we could not find a good option.
