MF 760 Straw Chopper Throwing Belts

The belts keep coming off of the straw chopper. The rear belt comes right off and the middle one (that goes along side of the grain tank) comes off and gets jammed between the pulley and the body.

Both belts are in decent shape.

Is there a special way of setting the tension of these belts so that they don't come off?

Thanks,
JP.

Tighten the drawbolt until spring compresses all but 1/8-1/4" Make sure brackets are not loose or broken on both front & center jackshaft

Mine has tension springs.

I looked it up, the older models had tension springs and the newer ones had compression springs. It is starting to make sense, the compression spring would not allow the belts to bounce around like the tension springs.

I will see if I can whim wham in a tensioner travel limiter or rig up compression springs.

Thanks,
JP.
