On our new macdon m155 with a d65 header when swatting at night if turn header off to get out then get back in the header starts but knife does not. Found by accident if we turn off lights then put pto in gear the knife starts turn lights back on and continue anybody else having this issue. Thanks
Yes we have that issue with our 2014, M155..Knife will not start at times with the light on??? Dealer checked it last yr, changed valves, checked wiring harness.. No luck.. still did it this yr when I had the lites on...Seems after it cools a bit, it will start again..Weird..Thanks for the tip..
Was having similar problem on ours last year W150. The wiring harness on the Left hand side was routedr improperly when set up. The harness was worn through in a couple of spots. dealer replaced and re-routed and all was good. AT the time I had to do something other than the lights to get the header to run. Thought it was the yellow header switch
My 2014 M205 just developed the same problem. with the work lights on the knife and reel will not start. Switch lights to road and away everything goes. Thanks for reporting the issue Paul. May have pulled out a few hair trying to figure this out.
Had a look at the harness and nothing looks rubbed. You are right about the canbus sytems, it could be just about anything.
