Macdon vs Deere

Looking at upgrading headers to a draper. Thinking either a 35 or 40 foot on a S670. Just trying to figure out if the Deere or Macdon will work better on flood irrigation. 30 inch rows. I’ve heard that Deere is the only thing that will work and I have heard that guys use Macdon with no issues. Does anyone have any personal experience with this situation. Wanting to go into this decision with plenty of information. Thanks in advance

We have 2 635FD draper heads on 680 combines. With the contour master on the unit along with the hydraulic tilting face plate we are extremely satisfied with the performance in yellow peas and wheat 2 inches off the ground after a heavy wet snow. We have run MacDons in the past and these are an improvement over them. The macdon does have th better reel on it.

Which model macdons? Just curious because they have changed a lot over the years.
