Which pickup unit for windrowed field peas?
A guy called needing a pickup header due to super wet conditions out of his control involving weeds, and he is going to have to have his field peas windrowed prior to harvesting.
My question is, what style of pickup unit will work best for this? will he need a belt type (such as a 388 Melroe) , or will a Sund spring finger tooth unit work fine? what about a Renn plastic finger drum type pickup unit?
Any input on harvesting windrowed peas and its equipment requirements would be appreciated,
