1063 and 844 weight

I run a 1420 with a 38" 844 corn head. I want to switch to 30" rows and run a 1063 head. My 1420 says no cornhead larger than 4 rows, but I think the newer 1063 30" head should not be much heavier than my old 844. Can I do this or not?

Re: 1063 and 844 weight

i think so my jd salesman used to run a 1063 on a 1620 but he didnt go very fast then he got a 1640 and that was alot better till he was running in 230 - 250 bpa corn then he would top out at 2.2 mph.
