seen one of these machines runnng in california wheat this spring.not very inpressive.had a 7950 in the same field both picking up 30 foot rows goin about the same speed

I think theres only so fast you can go with pickup work. Kemper work will be the real test.

Then why buy one? If you cannot use the full potential of the machine in all conditions in your control,then why not buy 2 smaller ones?

The John Deere's are maxed at 19km/h in field gear (non-prodrive) anyway. I'm not sure if they can go faster while chopping with prodrive but there's only so fast they can go in pick-up work otherwise the front isn't spinning fast enough to actually pick it up.

Just depends if both machines were actually working at full potential.

farmer is a friend of mine his wheat made just under 19tons per acer.mower was about 10acre in front of the cutters.9260 with a dwa 28-30foot rows.cutters running about 4-4.5mph.deere test guys wouldnt let me with in 30yards of it.new cab looks awsome!other than it looked like a claas or krone.
