Can anyone tell me why the price of an used forage harvester has a big difference between the most common makes such as claas new holland and john deer here in Europe. For example an fr has less money than a claas with the same characteristics
I don’t know anything about the European used farm equipment market but assume it’s similar to NA. Pure economics, supply and demand for a particular piece/model drives the price not its capability per say. That’s comparing similar hours and condition between the different brands.
Dealer support and reputation of the brand drive prices here in the states. With any piece of equipment if you can’t get parts for them what good are they. Around here Claas and Deere have the best dealer network for forage harvesters
