Re: Western NC cotton picking

Re: Western NC cotton picking

I think a stripper would have worked better this year rather than a picker considering the drought, but I understand that you use what you got. Very nice pics!!!

Re: Western NC cotton picking

A stripper would have worked better but I doubt he even cared at 1/3 bale per acre. He was probably told he had to pick it get an insurance check. I hate seeing a crop that bad. Hopefully he can have a better one next year.

Re: Western NC cotton picking

They are going to have to figure out a way to get anything bigger than a 6 row to go down the road when moving from field to field.

Is than a 9976 with 8 rows Kiley? It has an older cab than a 9986 or 9996 is the reason I ask.

Re: Western NC cotton picking

yea i imagine its an 9976 since its the older cab we move 8 row 30'' down the road all the time heck we even move 8 row 40 in strippers down the road all the time the way i look at it as long as you have your flashers on and you in your lane you have the right of way. they will wait to go around they have no other choice but to wait
