Re: White Case Tractors

I think they're getting pretty old and not many small/medium sized farmers left who use older models like years ago.
Used to be a dealer in S E Washington state that sold alot of them with the crab steering on the steep hills. One of their tractors is a classic advertising picture showing a Case pulling a Graham Hoeme chisel plow with the steep hills in the background. You might see it in some Case historical photos or books.
Weren't many Case dealers left in the northwest at that time and Steiger came into alot of IH dealers and were they were effective without the crab steering. Nowadays that Case dealer sells red CIH. Quad tracks are very popular in the former crawler country.
Our late neighbor had one white Case 2670 years ago. Saw a couple on dealers lots a couple years ago. There were alot of the old Case four wheel drives in the potato fields of S. Idaho to pull spud combines, but I think the Magnums with mfwd replaced them in time.
Case concentrated it's sales in only 22 or 23 states and provinces of Canada after becoming tractor specialists in the early 70's. They would have been more popular in those states which are probably in the midwest and plains. There historically were alot of Case in the wheat country like the plains of the US and prairies of Canada.

Sorry the pic isn't that good. This one caught me off guard but caught it the other day with a field cultivator. There was a Ford 976 in that field too.

Two on this farm too.

We have a 1975 Case 1370. I will post pics of it when I get them. We are using it to pull the disk and packer now.

Definitly do. There used to be one of those and a 2590 case that would work the land in front of my house to plant soys. I miss them so, but the old man retired and now the land is all overgrown grass.

Re: White Case Tractors

There are still a few of them around our area, but many don't do the main portion of the farming, just utility tractors. We personally still have a 970 with a front-end loader for hauling hay and such; we use it every day. Works excellent for that!

If you want to go back even further, Case was a beige-yellow. same shape of hood just different colour. There are some in our area, I'll try to snag a picture of one.
